But I can see why OP would feel this way, especially after the pointed "make me the host of Jeopardy" episode. Matt seems to have a pretty healthy relationship with other YouTubers, what with the frequent cameos and collaborations he does with other channels. I just think it’d be in Matt’s best interest to think about how his actions are being received by the intended audience I don’t mean to offend and I apologize if this isn’t the right place for a post like this. And if I feel that way as a fan, I can only imagine how it looks to Hot Ones. Something about it rubs me the wrong way. It was a fun idea at first, but I think the way Matt is handling and responding to not hearing back from Hot Ones is not the right way to get what he wants. If they put Matt on an episode now, it’ll send a message to every YouTuber who wants to make an appearance that sicking your fanbase on the comment section works. So the only reason I can think of why Hot Ones haven’t responded yet is because it would set a precedent. All those messages have to be super annoying for the Hot Ones staff. Why isn’t he using his team to contact Hot Ones about an appearance? Telling his fan base to overwhelm Hot Ones with messages is only digging Matt into a hole. That said, I wish he would stop telling his fan base to flood Hot Ones messages to get him on an episode and then complaining about the lack of response in opening bits and passing comments of subsequent episodes. I also love Hot Ones and I’d watch the heck out of an episode that has MatPat on it. I watch all his channels weekly and I am a fan and a supporter. I love the theory community and the content MatPat and company produces.
